Dr. Jessica Sanchez
I am a licensed sex therapist who advocates, empowers, & assists with restoring women's sexual autonomy & agency. My specializations include the healing of sexual & relationship trauma, sexual pain, prenatal, pregnancy, & the postpartum journey, eldest & only born daughters, life transitions, sexual exploration, first born and/or only daughters, & imposter syndrome & women of color, while decolonizing mental health through holistic & ancestorial healing practices. My work focuses on addressing ineffective behaviors, habits, and/or beliefs surrounding sexuality, client education, rewriting and/or editing intergenerational scripts/messages, & empowering women to live their most authentic, sexually empowered, & pleasure-filled lives. I believe in taking a collaborative, client-centered, & trauma-informed approach that focuses on the individualized needs of each client. Additional communities I have extensive experience in serving are: victims and/or survivors of sexual & relationship violence, women of color, parents rewriting the sex education script for their children, single fathers raising daughters, & first-generation college students.
National Presentations
In 2023, I created a presentation called, Redefining Victim-Centered & Trauma-Informed Care to Include Sex, Bodies, & Pleasure, that gained national attention in 2024 due to it’s purpose of challenging mental health clinicians & victim advocates to treat the entire body when serving survivors. My presentation gained national traction & I am blessed to have presented this workshop at multiple national conferences that has led to even more contracted partnerships with the military, higher education, & non-profit agencies.
I have presented my work at the following conferences:
- National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA)
- National Association of Student Affairs Professionals (NASPA)
- National Sexual Assault Conference (NSAC)
- National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Texas
- National Conference on Crimes Against Women (NCCAW)
- American Association for Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE)
- Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA)
- Trauma Support Services of North Texas (TSSNT)

Communities I am Passionate About Serving
Women
I am passionate about empowering women to live life on their own sexual terms. I respect every woman’s (and all human beings’) decision to do what feels best with their body & my heart feels the most full when I am able to expand women’s understanding of pleasure, desire, & fantasy. The one place I want every single woman to feel the most empowered is in her body, & next, her bedroom. Whether it is connecting with your body for the first time, after experiencing trauma, reconnecting after childbirth, or you are simply wanting to explore new desires; it would be an honor to be your therapist & hold space for you.
Parents
I recognize a lot of parents quickly forget who they needed when they were younger & instead, parent from a fear based mentality when raising their own children. When knowledge ends, assumptions begin. If you feel uncertain about your parenting style and/or disconnected from your child(ren), especially when it comes to discussing sex & sexuality related topics, allow me to be a member of your community & equip you with the tools necessary so you feel confident navigating these complex & courageous conversations.
First-Generation Students
I am the first in my familia to graduate college therefore, I hold a special place in my corazón for first-generation students who are attempting to navigate a system that was not designed for them in the first place. If you are a first-generation college student seeking a therapist who understands the complexities of navigating higher education, I am here for you.
Significant discounted rates apply for college students seeking mental health support.
In 2022, I was honored to be one of four women in the city of Dallas to receive the Mujer Legendaria de Ford National Award for Innovation.
